PV Combiner Box Selection for Solar Projects

A PV combiner box brings multiple solar strings together and provides the connection and protection equipment specified by the system design. Select it using your array’s electrical characteristics and installation conditions.

Information needed for selection

  • Number of PV strings and modules per string.
  • Maximum system voltage, including the effect of local temperature on module open-circuit voltage.
  • String current, conductor ratings and the inverter input limits.
  • Required fuses, isolation, surge protection and earthing arrangement.
  • Indoor or outdoor location, enclosure rating and environmental conditions.

Coordinate the complete solar system

Combiner equipment must suit the solar inverter and array configuration. Not every inverter installation requires the same external combiner arrangement. Have the installer check the manufacturer’s design and installation documentation.

Ask about a project-specific configuration

There are currently no model-specific combiner box listings in our catalog. Contact JCE POWER with the PV module datasheet, inverter model, string layout and site location to discuss your requirements.
